January, 2008

I’m not sure what happened, but I think somebody has been messing with my calendar.  It was July just last week, and now it appears as though 2009 is here!  How can that be?  I guess there’s nothing to do but enjoy it.

There is plenty of excitement throughout our region this time of year.  Whether it’s the simple pleasures of driving around any of Custer Country’s towns and cities to view the innovative light displays or watching any of the parades in towns big and small, it’s always a great time of year in Custer Country.

If your travels take you to Billings, there is more formalized and elaborate entertainment available.  The Alberta Bair Theater is buzzing with show times and excitement.  On January 11th at 3:00 pm, come see ScrapArtsMusic, a captivating musical performance in which the instruments are a random verity of reused materials like old accordion parts or artillery shells.  ScrapArtsMusic offers a highly physical, wildly theatrical and an extremely entertaining experience.  Tickets are $15 for students and $30 for adults.

On Tuesday, January 20th at 7:30 pm, The Pajama Game will also be presented at the Alberta Bair.  This Tony Award-winning Broadway smash is sure to please everyone with its fast-paced humor and high energy.  A must see!  Cost of admission ranges from $41 to $46 for adults and $24 for students.

We here in Custer Country hope that you and your family have had a wonderful holiday season.  We look forward to seeing you this summer when your travels bring you our way.   From the Board of Directors and staff of Custer Country - Happy New Year!
